Unique Student Identifier
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a 10 character reference number that creates an online record of all the recognised qualifications you attain within Australia.
You are able to access your training records and transcripts anytime and anywhere. You are also able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This might be useful when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.
It is free and easy to create a USI and once created, it stays with you for life to capture all your nationally recognised educational activities. In order to create a USI you’ll need to provide some form of identification such as a passport, drivers licence or birth certificate.
Registered Training Organisations are not allowed to issue nationally recognised training qualifications or statements of attainment to students who do not provide a USI.
