The qualification is delivered by approved teachers working in a partner school, ideally as a timetabled subject. Other delivery schedules may be negotiated.

The 11454NAT Certificate II in Personal Development does not lead to one specific career; instead, it develops transferable skills that can support success across many industries and roles. By building self-awareness, confidence, communication and personal effectiveness, the qualification can help individuals make informed career choices, pursue further study and positively contribute in any workplace.

There are no entry requirements for this course although it is recommended that students have demonstrated at least Level 2 for each of the Australia Core Skills – Learning, Reading, Writing, Oral Communication and Numeracy.

Students have up to 12 months to complete the qualification.

To complete this qualification you must demonstrate competency in a total of 10 units consisting of 7 core and 3 electives.

Students will require access to:

  • Computer with compatible, up-to-date operating system
  • Printer, scanner and mobile phone

  • Email address and stable Internet connection access
  • Adobe reader

.......and of course, having some skill in using the technology will help them progress through the course smoothly. Students are required to complete both a Language, Literacy and Numeracy and a Digital Literacy test prior to enrolment

Assessment is streamlined to replicate practical, real-world activities, and includes a combination of knowledge questions, case studies and scenarios, projects and practical tasks.

Students who successfully complete this qualification could continue their studies in higher level Certificate III in Personal Empowerment or other qualifications related to a specific area of interest and skill.
